Homemade baked potato chips

Baked potato chipsWhat is the reason why chips are accepted as a non-healthy food?
Is it the frying that makes them bad? Or are there all the flavour enhancers, food colors and other additives, part of the store-bought bag of chips? If one or both of the questions are answered with yes, homemade baked potato chips should be accepted as healthy tasty variety of the food most people like so much. They get crispy and crunchy.
They are flavoured the like you prefer - you can sprinkle some salt, cayenne pepper or vinegar salt above.

Preparation:
Peel and slice potatoes into slices as thin as possible (1/8 inch/ 3 mm or less). Put into a bowl with cold water for half an hour. Drain slices and dry thoroughly onto a paper towel.
Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C).

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Arrange potato slices in a single layer onto the baking sheet (the single layer is important for a crispy result). Sprinkle sunflowers oil above the slices and put into the oven. Bake for 15 minutes until golden and crisp. Gently remove the slices and put them onto a kitchen paper to dry. Sprinkle with the vinegar salt and serve.

To make vinegar salt: Put salt and vinegar into an oven proof bowl and put into the oven for 15 minutes. Take out and let cool for a while. Sprinkle potato chips with the salt.
