A piece of cake is always a good idea and this orange cake is light and easy to prepare and fills the kitchen with the smell of oranges.
My mother-in-law prepares it and I love it.- 5 eggs
- 1 cup
sugar
- 9 oz (250 g) yogurt
- a pinch of baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 3/4 cup sunflower oil
- 2 cups
flour
- grated
zest of 3 oranges
- 2
tsp vanilla sugar
Beat eggs with the sugar in another bowl. Add yogurt, grated orange zest and sunflower oil. Mix in slowly the dry ingredients. Pour batter into the tin and bake for 50 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool in the pan for some minutes, then turn onto a wired rack and cool completely.
